William Harrison ‘Bill’ Case Jr.

Services for William Harrison “Bill” Case Jr. of Brookhaven were1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 6, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Churchwith burial in the Catholic Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is incharge of arrangements.

Mr. Case, 57, died Aug. 4, 2005, at University of MississippiMedical Center. He was born in Brookhaven on April 29, 1948, toWilliam Harrison Case Sr. and Mary Ellen Aylward Case, ofBrookhaven.

He was a veteran of the Army, where he was a Green Beret. He wasa member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Preceding him in death were his father; and a brother,Christopher M. “Chris” Case.

Survivors are his mother; his former wife and friend, EmilyCase, of Brookhaven; his sons, Matthew Case, of Crystal River,Fla., and William Timothy “Tim” Case, of Mandeville, La.; hisdaughter, Emily Kathleen “Katie” Case, of Hattiesburg; hisbrothers, Francis A. Case, of Natchez, and Michael J. Case, of NewOrleans, La.; his sisters, Linda Peaster, of Flora, Jennifer Munsonof Ponchatoula, La., and Mary Jane Oglesby, of Lakeland, Fla.; anda host of nieces and nephews.

Services for Bill Hart of Bogue Chitto are 11 a.m., Monday, Aug.8, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel with burial in BogueChitto Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday from 1-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Hart, 80, died Aug. 6, 2005, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Bogue Chitto on May 12, 1925, to Tom Hartand Ethel Phelps Hart.

He was retired. He was a veteran of the Navy with service inWorld War II. He was a member of Bogue Chitto Baptist Church. Heloved music and appreciated being with his family andneighbors.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, MargaretHart and Joy Gary; one brother, James Thomas Hart; and onegreat-grandson, Joseph Charles Libby.

Survivors are his wife, Elizabeth Smith Hart of Bogue Chitto;his sons and daughters-in-law, Charlie and Dolores Hart, Tommy andBecky Hart, Billy John Hart, Ken Hart, and Gene Hart, all of BogueChitto; his daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Michael Delaughter,of Mauriceville, Texas, and Kathy and Bruce Crosby, of BogueChitto; two sisters, Juanita Magee, of Tylertown, and Bettie Smith,of Brookhaven; eleven grandchildren; and twelvegreat-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Hart, Scott Carpenter, Mike Sasser,Buddy Roberts, Robbie Roberts, Justin Shotwell. Honorarypallbearers will be Carl David Roberts, Joey Cannon, Jimmy Magee,Hugh Smith, Tim Smith, and Andrew Cartwright.
