Services for Carl Lee Thompson of Wesson are 1 p.m. Saturday atBrookhaven Funeral Home with burial in Wesson City Cemetery.Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Thompson, 85, died Sept. 28, 2005, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland. He was born on Dec. 12, 1919, to the late John FloydThompson and Ruth Leggett Thompson.

He was a retired painter with Illinois Central Railroad andCopiah-Lincoln Junior College. He was a member of Decell UnitedMethodist Church of Wesson. He was a World War II veteran of theU.S. Navy.

Survivors are his wife, Rachael Thompson of Wesson; hisdaughters, Rachael Carleen Rice of Valrico, Fla., and Janet DianeShorter of Florence; his six grandchildren; and his sixgreat-grandchildren.
