Donald Ray Cooper

Services for Donald Ray Cooper, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Saturday, Dec. 31 at Vision Community Church with burial inRosehill Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Cooper, 52, died Dec. 28, 2005, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born on Jan. 27, 1953, to Raymond Melvin Cooper andMattie Muriel Hunsucker Cooper.

He was an assistant manager at Triangle Mart.

Preceding him in death were his father; and two brothers, RobertLee Cooper and Eben Cooper.

Survivors are his mother; his brother, Billy Ray Cooper, ofSpringfield, Mass.; his sisters, Margaret Finnemore and PatsyBrewer, both of Brookhaven, Lynda Anderson, of Boston, Carolyn RuthProvine, of Phoenix, and Joyce Kupiec, of Daytona Beach, Fla.; anumber of nieces and nephews; and one great-nephew.

Modena Williams Robinson

Services for Modena Williams Robinson, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.today, Dec. 30 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation will be today from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Robinson, 84, died Dec. 28, 2005, at Silver Cross NursingHome. She was born in Crystal Springs on Feb. 7, 1921, to ThomasShelby Williams and Virgie Cooper Williams.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Grove BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, K.F. Robinson, of Brookhaven; herson, the Rev. Ronny Robinson, of Clinton; her daughter, RitaMercier, of Damon, Texas; her sisters, Jeanette Hurst, of Metairie,La., and Juanita Robinson, of California; nine grandchildren; andnumerous great-grandchildren.

William Cameron ‘Cam’ Thurman

Services for William Cameron “Cam” Thurman, of Brookhaven, are 2p.m. today, Dec. 30 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Thurman, 53, died Dec. 28, 2005, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born on Sept. 18, 1952, to Shelton Thurman andMildred Smith Thurman.

He was an electronic specialist. He was a member of CentralBaptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brother,Richard Thurman.

Survivors are his wife, Jan Thurman, of Brookhaven; hisdaughters, Sara Elizabeth Thurman, Anna Leigh Thurman and CandieCopeland and her husband Donnie, all of Brookhaven; hismother-in-law and father-in-law, T.C. and Betty Maxwell, ofBrookhaven; and a host of nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws andsisters-in-law.
