Services for Melissa Bozeman Buchanan, of Jacksonville, Fla.,formerly of Monticello, are 2 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at BethelBaptist Church in Monticello with burial in the church cemetery.Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Buchanan, 44, died April 16, 2006, at Community Hospice ofNortheast Florida, in Jacksonville. She was born on March 23, 1962,to Sedgie Ford Bozeman Jr. and Audrey Reynolds Bozeman.

She was a former bank teller with First Bank of Monticello. Shewas a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She loved to piecequilts.

Her mother preceded her in death.

Survivors are her father; her husband, Ricky Buchanan, ofJacksonville; her sons, Nathan Scot Buchanan, of Fayetteville,N.C., and Richard Tyler Buchanan, of Jacksonville; her brothers,Jammie Bozeman, Michael Bozeman, Jeffery Bozeman, Ricky Bozeman andShawn Bozeman, all of Monticello; her sisters, Debbie Stanley, ofMonticello, Kasi Howse, of Glen Burnie, Md., Janet Oliver, ofMarreo, La., and Pam Owens, of Brookhaven; her grandchild, HaleyDrew Buchanan; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Paul E. Horn

Services for Paul E. Horn, of Bogue Chitto, are 2 p.m. today,April 19, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel with burial inMontgomery Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.

Mr. Horn, 47, died April 16, 2006, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born on March 11, 1959, to Edward Horn of Browning,Ill., and Willa Easter of Benton, Ill.

He was an oil field worker. He was a member of the Catholicfaith.

Preceding him in death was his grandfather, Leonard Horn.

Survivors are his parents; his wife, Pam Boyd Horn, of BogueChitto; his sons, Jeremy Horn and his fiance April Wallace, JustinHorn and Casey Smith, Jake Horn and Jason Horn, all of BogueChitto; his grandmother, Pauline Horn, of Browning, Mo.; hisbrothers, Gene Horn and wife Kathy, of Ofallon, Mo., Lee Horn andwife Debi, of Friendville, Tenn., and Perry Rice and wife Angie, ofSilex, Mo.; his sister, Vicky Horn, of Browning; his mother-in-law,Geneva Boyd, of Brookhaven; his brother-in-law, Mike Boyd and wifeKaren, of Brookhaven; and his nieces, Heather and Brianna Boyd.

Linda Greer Lambert

Services for Linda Greer Lambert are 11 a.m. Thursday, April 20,at Community Funeral Services with burial in Rawls Cemetery inRuth.

Mrs. Lambert, 41, died April 17, 2006, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born on Feb. 18, 1965, to Rex Greer andGrace Greer.

Preceding her in death were her brothers, Hank Greer and BenGreer.

Survivors are her parents; her husband, Gordon Lambert, of BogueChitto; her son, Bobby Lambert, of Bogue Chitto; her daughter, AmyLambert, of Bogue Chitto; and Brenda Smith, of Silver Creek.

Joy Strange Rials

Services for Joy Strange Rials, of Jayess, were 11 a.m. today,April 19, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Monticello with burialin Jayess Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Rials, 74, died April 16, 2006, at Wesley Medical Center inHattiesburg. He was born on Aug. 27, 1931, to Lee E. Rials andBetty Strange Rials.

He was a former school teacher and basketball coach. He wasretired from his job as the postmaster of Jayess, after 30 years ofservice. He was a member of Jayess Baptist Church. He was a memberof the Jayess Masonic Lodge and a Shriner.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, Erline RayJohnson; and his daughter-in-law, Sandy Boyd Rials.

Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Nickie Gunnell Rials, ofJayess; his son, William E. “Billy” Rials, of Summit; his daughter,Vickie Lynn Wallace and her husband Hank, of Brookhaven; his twospecial grandchildren, Bradley E. Rials, of Summit, and BrandiLeigh McDowell, of Austin, Texas; and a host of nieces andnephews.

Services for Shirley P. Smith, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Thursday, April 20, at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial inFriendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith, 69, died April 18, 2006, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born on July 12, 1936, to Edward L. Smith andBertha Smith Smith.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Friendship BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, TrulySmith.

Survivors are her sons, Mike Tanner and wife Nancy, ofBrookhaven, and Henry E. “Bo” Tanner and wife Sherry, ofBrookhaven; her daughter, Linda Sandifer and husband Wardale, ofMcComb; her brothers, Jimmy Smith, of Brookhaven, Tommy Smith, ofPearl, and Carl Smith, of Bogue Chitto; her sisters, Ann Oliver andPeggy Britt, both of Brookhaven; her eight grandchildren and sixgreat-grandchildren.
