Memorial services to celebrate the life of ‘Busta’ Luther C.Martin, of New Orleans, La., are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May20, at The Gallery, on the I-10 Frontage Road, in Slidell, La.Williams Funeral Home in Pearl River, La., is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Martin, 50, died May 8, 2006, at Tulane Hospital in NewOrleans. He was born in Canton on June 5, 1955.

He was an artistic director and stylist in the cosmetologyindustry, having his own salon known as “Busta – The Salon of NewOrleans.”

Preceding him in death were his father, James L. Martin, ofBrookhaven; and his sister, Ruby Nell Barnes, of Jackson.

Survivors are his mother, Betty Joyce Lea, of Pearl River; hisstepfather, James B. Lea, of Pearl River; his sisters, KathyMartin-Pascal, of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Sandy Hamilton, ofPearl River; his stepsister, Dee Banta, of Walker, La.; his niece,Samantha Daniel, of Hendersonville; his great-niece, Emma Daniel,of Hendersonville; his nephew, Joshua Hamilton, of Pearl River; andlife-long friends, Evelyn Audler and Jack Jenks.
