Authorities investigating burglary of beauty mart

A downtown business was broken into Thursday morning and lawofficials say an investigation is still ongoing.
The Hollywood Beauty Mart, located at the corner of JacksonStreet and Court Street, was broken into sometime after thebusiness closed Wednesday evening and 7:06 a.m. Thursday morningwhen police officials received the call, said Brookhaven PoliceDepartment Investigator Roger Wilson.
“A window was the only point of entry,” he said.
On the east side of the building, a plate glass window had beenbroken and allowed a thief or thieves access to the beauty supplystore, Wilson said.
Items were taken from the store Wilson said, but detailedinformation was being withheld due to the ongoinginvestigation.
“We have some pretty good leads,” Wilson said Thursdayafternoon.
Wilson said the owner of the store also owns and operates astore in McComb.
