Joey Ronald Seago

Services for Joey Ronald Seago, of Bogue Chitto, are 3 p.m.Saturday, Aug. 19, at Jones Family Funeral Services Chapel inMcComb with burial in Hollywood Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Alexanderwill officiate.

Visitation is today from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home, andon Saturday from 1 until 3 p.m.

Mr. Seago, 54, died Aug. 17, 2006, at his residence. He was bornin McComb on Dec. 13, 1951, to Clayton and Peggy Seago.

He was a logger and an oilfield worker. He loved a challenge andwas a world traveler. He would help anybody do anything. He lovedthe outdoors and fishing was a favorite pastime. He made many tripsto the Pearl River with friends and to Louisiana with his son.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his daughter, MirandaNicole Seago; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. D.G. Seago Sr.,and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Moak.

Survivors are his son Kirk Seago and wife Debi, of Summit; hisdaughters, Wendy Wheat and husband Alan, of Smithdale, and AmandaHughey and husband Jarrod, of Meadville; his brothers, Randy Seagoand wife Rickie, of McComb, and Mike Seago, Keith Seago and BruceSeago, all of Bogue Chitto; his grandchildren, Alyce and DavidWeiss, of Summit, Cari and Brandon Wheat, of Smithdale, and Kaneand Maddie Hughey, of Meadville.

Pallbearers are Ric Johnston, Billy Sasser, Mike Love, StevieBarron, Joe Lauer and B.J. Seago.

John Curtis ‘Dick’ Tarver

Services for John Curtis “Dick” Tarver, of Brookhaven, are 11a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial inEasthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is today from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Tarver, 85, died Aug. 17, 2006, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born on June 21, 1921, to John Tarver and BerthaKing Tarver.

He was retired from South Central Bell Telephone Company after37 years of service. He was a member of New Sight Baptist Church.He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of theVFW, American Legion and Telephone Pioneers, for which he was pastpresident three times of the Brookhaven and McComb chapters. He wasa member of LLL at First Baptist Church, Joy Club at New Sight anda former member of Lincoln Chorale.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his two sisters and twobrothers.

Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Lillian Jobe Tarver, ofBrookhaven; his sister, Irene Starkey, of Jena, La.; his nieces,Laura Helen Massey, of Bogue Chitto, Thelma Jean Jackson andhusband Tommy, of Liberty, Betty Jean Dykes, of Brookhaven, andGlenda Tanksley and husband Don, of Lorman; and a host of niecesand nephews.

Sallie Mae Thorpe

Graveside services for Sallie Mae Thorpe, of Brookhaven,formerly Union Church, are 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at UnionChurch Cemetery in Jefferson County. Brookhaven Funeral Home is incharge of arrangements.

Mrs. Thorpe, 85, died Aug. 17, 2006, at Haven Hall Health CareCenter. She was born in Jefferson County on May 18, 1921, to WalterObadiah Twiner and Florence Jane Twiner.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethesda BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sister, Bertha LeeJohnson; and her grandson, Michael Tarver.

Survivors are her sons, Jimmy Ray Thorpe, of Natchez, John WadeThorpe, of Union Church, and Lloyd Edward Thorpe, of Meridian; herdaughters, Elizabeth Wheeler Haralson, of Brookhaven, JanetteThorpe Tarver, of Meridian, Linda Thorpe Irby, of Enterprise, andMarinia Thorpe Smith, of Union Church; her 14 grandchildren, RhondaScott, Gaylen Herring, Susie Sturgis, Amy Lively, Jonathan Thorpe,Walter Ray Thorpe, Fran Sills, John Tarver, Vernon Irby Jr., BlakeIrby, Craig Smith, Melissa Smith, L.J. Thorpe and Whitney Thorpe;her nephews, Walter Lamar Johnson and Tommie Lee Johnson, both ofUnion; and her 15 great-grandchildren.

Judy Marie Muirhead Tullos

Services for Judy Marie Muirhead Tullos, of McComb, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Aug. 19, at Jones Family Funeral Services Chapel withburial in Pike Memorial Gardens in McComb. Dr. David Millican willofficiate.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Saturday from 9 until 11 a.m.

Mrs. Tullos, 48, died Aug. 17, 2006, at her residence. She wasborn in McComb on April 10, 1958, to James Muirhead Sr., and JoanMuirhead, of McComb.

She was a housewife and devoted mother.

Preceding her in death were her son, William Shirley Tullos; andher grandparents, H.A. and Estelle Muirhead, and Jack and JaneDavis.

Survivors are her parents; her husband, Tommy Tullos Sr., ofMcComb; her son Tommy Tullos Jr., and wife Kim, and MitchellTullos, all of McComb; her brother, James Muirhead Jr., and wifeVivian, of Salt Lake City, Utah; her sisters, Martha Whatley andhusband Billy Sr., and Estelle Adams and husband Marvin, all ofMcComb; and her grandchildren, J.K. Wallace, Shelby Tullos andMadalyn Tullos.

Pallbearers are Tommy Tullos Jr., Byran Smith, Joey Jackson,Billy Whatley Jr., Ronald Lang and Ken Simmons.

Honorary pallbearers are Jasper Etheridge and Mike Noworyta.
