Services for Albert “Pops” Murphy Jr., of Brookhaven, are 11a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Macedonia M.B. Church in Brookhaven withburial in the church cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home,with family hour from 7 until 8 p.m.

Mr. Murphy, 65, died Nov. 11, 2006, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Wabbaseka, Ark., on Feb. 19, 1941, to AlbertMurphy Sr. and Roberta Murphy.

He was a security guard with Safe Security, stationed atWal-Mart in Brookhaven. He was a member of Macedonia M.B.Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his daughter, Azola”Mickey” Jackson.

Survivors are his wife, Patsy Wallace Murphy, of Brookhaven; hisdaughters, Arlene Marie Neal, of Milwaukee, Wis., Ruby Jean Fields,of Brookhaven, Linda Faye Fields, of St. Louis, Mo., and SheliaFields, of Brookhaven; his sons, William Fields, of Chicago, Ill.,and Conrad N. Fields, of Houston, Texas; his sister, Barbara AnnBanks, of Chicago; his brother, Roosevelt Murphy, of Chicago; and ahost of grandchildren, great-grandchildren,great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives andfriends.
