Services for Edith Marie Peyton, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Wednesday, Feb. 14, at St. Paul M.B. Church in Brookhaven withburial in Hillcrest Cemetery in Brookhaven. Williams Mortuary is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Peyton, 64, died Feb. 8, 2007, at her residence. She wasborn in Brookhaven on Jan. 12, 1943, to T.H. Maxwell and AliceMaxwell.

She was retired. She was a member of St. Paul M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death were her father; her husband, Murphy LeePeyton, and her brother, Jessie James Maxwell.

Survivors are her mother, Alice Maxwell, of Oklahoma City,Okla.; her son, James Earl Maxwell Sr. and wife Addie, ofBrookhaven; her brothers, Roosevelt Maxwell and wife Anita, ofOklahoma City, the Rev. Thomas Maxwell, of Jackson, and LonnieMaxwell, of Brookhaven; her sisters, Ora Evans, and Lillie Bryantand husband S.Q., all of Brookhaven; her aunt, Jessie Lee Johnson,of Brookhaven, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
