Services for Stella C. Thornton, of Meadville, are 2 p.m.Tuesday, March 27, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadvillewith burial in Midway Cemetery. The Rev. Jeff Gardner willofficiate.

Visitation is Monday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

Mrs. Thornton, 79, died March 24, 2007, at MeadvilleConvalescent Home. She was born in New Orleans, La., to WilliamMarks and Stella Cains Marks.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Meadville MethodistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; and herson.

Survivors are her son, Robert Thornton, of Gloster; her sister,Patsy R. Addison, of New Orleans; and her granddaughter, LyndseyThornton, of Gloster.
