Co-Lin tells soccer signees

WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College soccer coach FrankSmith has announced the signing of 12 women and 14 men for the 2007season.

The signing class for the women includes Barbara Dotson(defense/sweeper) and Haley Baggett (forward) both of Terry;Caroline Yarbrough (forward/midfielder) and Beth Shell (defense),both of Franklin County; midfielders CaryAnne Rake and MishakaMoore, both of Brookhaven; Montana Hahn (midfielder) and JackieFarmer (defense), both of Crystal Springs; Jessie Smith(midfielder) of Brookhaven Academy; Latoya Walker (forward) ofFlorence; Brittany Davis (midfielder/defense) of Clinton; andSavannah Peebles (midfielder/forward/goalkeeper) of False RiverAcademy, La.

Men’s signees include Russ Whitfield (midfielder) and JaredUpchurch (defense), both of Terry; Ryan Ratliff (forward), AustinMcCormick (defense) and Josh Dixon (midfielder), all of FranklinCounty; Matt Lee (goal keeper), Zach Goza (forward), Cody Ward(forward) and Ethan Brown (midfielder), all of Central HindsAcademy; Curtis Maier (sweeper) of Natchez Cathedral; Kyle Neely(midfielder) of Mendenhall; Cass Sellers (defense) and Nick James(forward), both of Loyd Star; and Tyler Cheramie(midfielder/forward) of Dutchtown, La.

Both teams will kick off the season on Aug. 18 with the annualalumni game in Wesson. Game time is set for 4 p.m. for the womenand 5 p.m. for the men.
