Services for Barbara E. Pepper, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Tuesday, June 26, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel on NatchezAvenue with burial in Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery inBrookhaven.

Visitation is Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Pepper, 62, died June 23, 2007, at her residence. She wasborn in Collins on Sept. 26, 1944, to Floyd Durham Sr. and BarbaraLois Jones Durham.

She graduated with honors from Gilfoy School of Nursing and wasthe former charge nurse of coronary care for Mississippi BaptistMedical Center. She was a former employee with the MississippiState Board of Health, Health Care at the Nursing Home Division,and a former employee with Med Co. Industries, a South MississippiHome Health nurse. She had served as administrator of CountrybrookLiving Center and Haven Hall Health Care Center. She had worked asa registered nurse with King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was acaptain in the National Guard. She was a member of EasthavenBaptist Church. She was a member of the garden club. She was a veryloving, caring and giving person who spent her time volunteering inher church and community.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Survivors are her husband, William Pepper, of Brookhaven; herson, Todd Pepper, of Brookhaven; her daughter, Melinda Mann andhusband Mark, of New Market, Ala.; her brothers, Floyd LelandDurham, of Brewton, Ala., and John David Durham, of Pearl; hersister, Karen Ashtiani, of Brandon; her grandchildren, LaceyHawkins, Josh Mann, Tanner Mann and Aaron Mann, all of New Market;and Laklyn Pepper and Austin Pepper, both of Brookhaven; and hergreat-grandchildren, Ethan Hawkins and Jordan Hopkins, both of NewMarket.
