Hunt puts up big numbers at MLB

MEADVILLE — Frankin County junior middle linebacker Jordan Huntgets around in a hurry. Hunt was credited with 12 tackles in theBulldogs’ 17-6 win over the Charleston Tigers.

For his performance, the muscular 6-foot, 220-pound Hunt hasbeen selected The DAILY LEADER’s Defensive Player of the Week.

Hunt displays the typical attitude of a middle linebacker. Heenjoys the contact, up front and personal.

“I like the hitting, mostly,” said the soft-spoken Hunt. “Youcaptain the defense. You have to watch the run and watch theflanks. I like fillling the hole and making the stop.”

Off to a 3-0 start, the defending Class 3A state championBulldogs want to repeat in December. Hunt is one of the reasons theteam has allowed just 151-yards rushing in three games.
