The Brookhaven Lady Panthers slow pitch softball team travels toQuitman Tuesday in first round of the Class 4-A playoffs. The firstgame in the best-of-three series begins at 5 p.m.
Last week, Brookhaven crushed Port Gibson 19-1 and fell toWarren Central 3-1. Panther pitcher Casey Risher went 1-1, improvedher record to 21-8 overall an 8-3 in the region.

Katie Stewart ripped 2 home runs for Brookhaven. Stevie Wrighthomered and doubled. Collected a home run and a single each wereTerri Hodges and Risher. Sabrina Delaughter and Karlee Martinsmashed 2 singles apiece. Tripling were Kelsey Freeman and SarahAyers. Georgia Rae Rainer and Hannah Lowman singled.
Warren Central 3, Brookhaven 1
In the loss to Warren Central, Brookhaven was led by BriannaAshmore and Wright with 2 singles apiece. Singling were Lowman,Hodges, Delaughter, Stewart, Rainer and Martin.
