Wayne Allen Beach

Services for Wayne Allen Beach, of Roxie, are 10 a.m. Tuesday,Oct. 30, at Roxie Baptist Church with burial in Beach FamilyCemetery. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Beach, 57, died Oct. 27, 2007, at his residence. He was bornin Roxie on March 28, 1950, to Spurgeon Beach and Myrtle JacksonBeach.

He was a member of Roxie Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his son,Michael.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothy McCaffery Beach; his sons, MaxieHavard and Donald Havard; his daughters, Rhonda Bonds and EvaAldridge, all of Roxie; his brothers, Billy Beach, Bobby Beach, andGary Beach, all of Roxie, and Lamar Beach, Roy Beach, and DonaldBeach, all of Natchez; his sisters, Gladys Taylor, Margie Rogers,and Helen Spence, all of Brookhaven; five grandchildren; and onegreat-grandchild.

Ellis Conly Rutland

Services for Ellis Conly Rutland, of Jayess, are 2 p.m. Sunday,Oct. 28, at Forest Grove Methodist Protestant Church in Jayess withburial in the church cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 8 a.m. until the time of the serviceat the church.

Mr. Rutland, 71, died Oct. 26, 2007, at the Lawrence CountyHospital. He was born in Lawrence County on Nov. 17, 1935, to JohnThomas Rutland and Rosie Alice King Rutland.

He was a retired carpenter and maintenance worker for LawrenceCounty Hospital. He was a member of Forest Grove MethodistProtestant Church, where he was on the Board of Trustees, the Boardof Stewards, a longtime Sunday school teacher, and the founder ofthe church benevolence fund. He was also a Mason and a lifelongresident of Lawrence County.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers; and twosisters.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Cliburn Rutland; his son anddaughter-in-law, Micah and Katie Rutland, of Boyle; his daughter,Amy Rutland, of Jayess; his brothers, Harvey Rutland, of BossierCity, La., Denver Rutland, of Jacksonville, Ark., Carl Rutland, ofJayess; and Harlod Rutland, of Monticello; his sister, ElnerFuller, of Jayess; and his grandson, Kaleb Conly Rutland.

Memorials or gifts may be made to the Forest Grove MethodistProtestant Church benevolence fund.

Gerald D. Townsend

Services for Gerald D. Townsend, of Vicksburg but formerly ofBrookhaven, are 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at Riverwood FamilyFuneral Services with burial in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Townsend, 66, died Oct. 26, 2007, at River Regions MedicalCenter in Vicksburg. He was born on Nov. 2, 1940, to Benjamin W.Townsend and Hazel Allred Townsend.

He was disabled. He was a member of Union Baptist Church. He wasdevoted to his wife, children, and was a beloved grandfather (PawPaw) to his six grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife of 44 years, Jean B. Townsend, ofVicksburg; his daughters, Cindy Lohr Smith and husband Mervin,Regenia Pappas and husband Mikey, and Donna Fauver and husbandTerry; his grandchildren, Josh G. Smith and wife Bridget, LaceyCase, Charity Townsend, Jarron Pappas, Ben Pappas and KatelynnFauver; his great-grandchildren, Kyleigh and Ethan; his sister,Geneva Boyd; and his sister-in-law, Brenda Hutto.
