Services for Opal H. Thomas, of Wesson, will be held at 2 p.m.on Sunday, Jan. 13, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial inEasthaven Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Thomas, 82, died Jan. 10, 2008, at St. Dominic – JacksonMemorial Hospital in Jackson. She was born on Dec. 13, 1925, toBoaz Herndon and Ennis Taylor Herndon.

She was a retired sitter. She was a member of Easthaven BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, T.J.Thomas; her grandsons, Steve and Jeff Prather; two sisters andthree brothers.

Survivors are her daughters, Barbara McGee and husband Larry, ofBrookhaven, Linda Jenkins, of Houston, Texas, and Joyce Childreyand husband Burt, of Roxboro, N.C.; her grandchildren, ScottPrather, Lori Herring and Candi Raborn, all of Brookhaven, LeeJenkins, of Pearland, Texas, and Cindy Newman, stationed in Japan;her 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart Societyin Brookhaven.
