Kenneth ‘Dean’ Leggett

Services for Kenneth “Dean” Leggett, of Brookhaven, will be heldat 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1, at Riverwood Family Funeral ServiceChapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery in Natchez.

Visitation is Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of theservice at the funeral home.

Mr. Leggett, 49, died Jan. 27, 2008, in Calvin, Okla. He wasborn on Sept. 12, 1958, to Willie Leggett and Alice Montgomery.

He was a drilling completion foreman. He was a veteran of theUnited States Navy. He was a member of Pleasant Valley BaptistChurch. He was a graduate of Adams County Christian School andCopiah-Lincoln Community College.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his sister, CeceliaLeggett.

Survivors are his wife, Sherry Leggett, of Brookhaven; his sons,Jason Leggett and fiancee Charmagne Portier, and Daniel Leggett andfiancee Amanda Dayton, all of Brookhaven; his daughter, AndreaTillman and husband Randall, of Brookhaven; his sister, AngelaMcGuffie and husband Ricky, of Brookhaven; his grandchildren, DylanLeggett (3), Sandra Portier (3), Bralynn Leggett (2), JaidynLeggett (1), Tyler Tillman (8), Alyssa Tillman (4), and ShooterTillman (11 months), all of Brookhaven. Additional survivors arehis nephew, Matt McGuffie, of Brookhaven; his maternal grandmother,Nettie Cranfield, of Natchez; his stepfather, Gray Montgomery, ofVidalia, La.; and many cousins and many friends who are family.
