John David Van Albritton

John David Van Albritton, 14, of Summit, was fatally injured ina vehicle accident Sunday, June 29, 2008. Mr. Albritton was bornAug. 7, 1993, in McComb. He was the son of Michael Nelson Albrittonand Debra Blades.
He was a Baptist and attended school at Loyd Star in LincolnCounty and prior to that, John attended North Pike School.
John loved motorbikes and was an avid motorcycle rider. Heenjoyed hunting, fishing and other outside sports, and mostimportant, he loved his family.
John is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Melvin andAva Albritton and his maternal grandmother, Susie Smith.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Michael NelsonAlbritton and Leslie Albritton, of Summit; his mother, DebraAlbritton, of Wesson; his grandfather, Otis Lee Blades, ofBrookhaven; one brother, Mark Jason Wilson, of Sontag; threesisters, Bridget Lee-Ann Albritton, of Wesson; Lacey Genaro andMelissa Wallace, both of Bogue Chitto; one niece, Ainsley Genaro,of Bogue Chitto; and multiple aunts, uncles, cousins and a host offriends.
Visitation will be Monday evening at Catchings Funeral Home inMcComb from 5 until 8 p.m. and will continue Tuesday afternoon atJohnston Chapel United Methodist Church in Summit from 2 p.m. untilfuneral services at the church at 3 p.m.
The Rev. Michael Martin will officiate.
Burial will be in Johnston Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Jeremy Stover, Justin Sutton, Chad Wallace,Sam Schifano, Todd Brown and Chase Jordan.
