A memorial service for Sally Shoemaker, of Brookhaven, will beheld at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, at the Brookhaven Branch of theChurch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Brookhaven FuneralHome is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Shoemaker, 92, died Aug. 19, 2008, at Countrybrook LivingCenter in Brookhaven. She was born in Elsie, Neb., on Oct. 8, 1915,to Stephen Everett Dixon and Izetta Gertrude Roe.

She was a homemaker and seamstress. She was a member of theBrookhaven Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter DaySaints.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, WalterShoemaker.

Survivors are her sons, Don Shoemaker, of Arizona, DavidShoemaker, of Colorado, and John Shoemaker, of Mississippi.

Mrs. Shoemaker had numerous friends and church members that sheconsidered her family.
