Services for Murray Glynn Cupit, of Liberty, are 10 a.m.Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Liberty withburial in the Bogue Chitto Cemetery. The Rev. Ernest Whittingtonwill officiate.

Visitation is Monday from 6 until 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m.until 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Cupit, 59, died July 30, 2009, at his residence. He was bornin Amite County on July 12, 1950, to John Ellis Cupit and MaryLilly Cupit Scybist.

He was a former truck driver. He was a member of EnterpriseBaptist Church in Liberty.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his stepfather, FrankScybist; and his brother, Robert Wayne Cupit.

Survivors are a son, Minor Glynn Cupit, of Liberty; a daughter,Crystal Lipscomb and husband, Justin, of Liberty; his stepmother,Mary Cupit, of Liberty; his brothers, James Cupit and wife,Shirley, of Clinton, La., John Ellis Cupit and wife, Genie, ofGreensburg, La., Allen Cupit and wife, Viola, Jerry Cupit, all ofBogue Chitto, and Michael Cupit and wife, Tamara, of DenhamSprings, La.; his sisters-in-law, Debra Cupit, of Walker, La., andDolly Cupit, of Baton Rouge, La.; and a granddaughter, HaleyLipscomb, of Liberty.
