BHS girls top Franklin

The host Brookhaven Lady Panthers handed the Franklin CountyLady Bulldogs a 3-1 loss Monday night in slowpitch softballaction.
Ole Brook, coached by Lisa Covington, visits West LincolnThursday. The junior varsity game begins at 5 p.m., followed by thevarsity at 6.
Brooke Hosick (2-11) was the winning pitcher and Mildred Starksabsorbed the loss.
Powering the Panthers at the plate with a double and a singlewas Stevie Wright. Emily Freeman, Christen Benson, Shareeka Hill,Dana Herring and Hosick.
The Bulldogs were led by Vintrice Briggs who doubled andsingled. Keke Collins, Desiree Buie, Morgan Knapp and MildredStarks singled.
Junior varsity action
Franklin County beat Brookhaven 6-0 in the JV game. EmilyFreeman led the Panthers in batting.
