Roy Cameron

Services for Roy Cameron, of Detroit, Mich., formerly ofSmithdale, are 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at Rose Hill M.B. Churchin Meadville with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 5 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mr. Cameron, 61, died Jan. 6, 2010, in Detroit. He was born onOct. 7, 1948, in Franklin County to Simmie Roy Cameron and RenesKnox Cameron.

He was retired after working as an auto worker for 30 years atCadillac Motors in Detroit. He was a veteran of the U.S. Armyhaving served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of Rose Hill M.B.Church.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Joyce Boddy Cameron; and abrother, Micheal Cameron.

Survivors include his parents; his two sons, Chad Cameron andVincient Roy Cameron, both of Detroit; his sisters, Fran Cameron,Katherine Westbrook and husband, Theodis, Leontine Cameron, LisaCameron and Ruby Cameron, all of Smithdale, and Penny Shell andhusband, Phillip, of Roxie; her two brothers, Randy Todd Cameron,of Smithdale, and Ezzar Charles Cameron and wife Shelia, all ofDetroit; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives andfriends.

Melissa Lynn Hunt

Services for Melissa Lynn Hunt, of Bogue Chitto, are 3 p.m.,Saturday, Jan. 23, at Mt. Zion M.B. Church, in Bogue Chitto, withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 6 until 7 p.m. at Williams Mortuarywith family hour also from 6 until 7 p.m.

Miss Hunt, 27, died Jan. 17, 2010, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born on Sept. 21,1982, in Hinds County to Jonathan Hunt and Lisa Porter Hunt, ofBogue Chitto.

Miss Hunt attended West Lincoln Attendance Center. She wasdisabled. She was a member of Mt. Zion M.B. Church.

Survivors include her parents; her two daughters, Ieshia Bassand Tyeshia Bass, both of Bogue Chitto; her sisters, Rosanna Huntand Christine Hunt, both of Bogue Chitto; her maternal grandmother,Mamie Porter, of Bogue Chitto; her paternal grandfather, RobertHunt, of Memphis, Tenn.; her paternal grandmother, RosemaryRussell, of Bogue Chitto; and many aunts, uncles, other relativesand friends.

Ray King

Services for Ray King of Jayess, are 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21,at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Monticello with burial in CarmelBaptist Church in Monticello.

Visitation is Thursday from 8 a.m. until services at 2 p.m.

Mr. King, 71, died Jan. 20, 2010, at Lawrence County Hospital.He was born in Lawrence County on Sept. 6, 1938, to William JesseKing and Mary Cox.

He was a retired store owner. He served in the U.S. Army and wasa member of Oak Grove Pentecostal Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Alton King;and three sisters, Ruth Smith, Jessie Mae Watts and JaneTurner.

Survivors are his wife, Betty King, of Jayess; and two sons,Craig Larue King, of Brookhaven, and Timothy Ray King, ofMonticello; and four grandchildren.
