Services for Lillian Lorraine Woods Stanford, of Wesson, are 2p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at Clear Branch Baptist Church inBrookhaven with burial in the church cemetery. Community FuneralServices is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Thursday at the church from noon until the time of theservice.

Mrs. Stanford, 68, died Feb. 15, 2010, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland. She was born in Copiah County on April 26, 1941, toMedford Eugene Woods and Mary Ellen Goza Woods.

She was a homemaker, and a very special mother and friend. She wasa faithful member of Clear Branch Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, WayneStanford; and her sister, Patricia Ann Woods.

Survivors are her daughters, Rebecca Ann Rushing Dominique, ofWesson; her brothers, Hiram Glen Woods, of Huntsville, Ala., andMeredith Bryant Woods Sr., of Pearl; her grandchildren, ChristyLynn Thedford, Chauncy R. Thedford and Tekina N. Thedford Graham;her great-grandchildren, Harley, Thomas, Aleghia, Hailey, Becky,T.J., Britney, Merandia, Devin, Justin, Stephanie, Tye andZack.

The family gives a special “thank you” to Clear Branch BaptistChurch pastor and friends; to Pete Stanley for all the love andcare given; to Ridgeland Hospice Ministries in Jackson – thanks forthe care, support and comfort given to Lorraine from the pain ofcancer; and to anyone else who had a part in care, support ordonations given for travel to and from doctors. Thanks to God fortaking her home, and taking away her pain. Thank you all.
