MCCOMB – The Brookhaven Lady Panthers finished runners-up in theCamellia Relays and the Panthers were fourth. The BHS girls amassed124 points and the Panthers scored 44 points.

McComb won both divisions as the girls recorded 143 points and theboys scored 125.

Brookhaven’s girls were directed by senior Desiree Benson whocaptured the 800 and 1600 meter runs and placed third in the400-meter dash. Pamela Byrd won first place in the 200-meterdash.

Byrd teamed with Laurissa Wesley, Brandy Guilbeaux and KarrondaRedd to win the 4×100 relay.

The Panthers were directed by Isaiah White who won the 110-meterhurdles and finish second in the long jump.

Brookhaven’s track team is coached by Kelby Bowman, Freda Craft andJamie Butler.
