Farm Bureau 8, Betsy Smith 6,

Farm Bureau Insurance survived Tuesday after a late comeback byBetsy Smith Properties in the Lincoln County Dixie Youth MajorLeague (11-12 year olds). Farm Bureau led 8-1 before Betsy’s bunch rallied.

Farm Bureau winning pitcher was Tate Walley with four strikeouts,two walks, and one hit batter.

Penn Wilson took the loss for Betsy Smith Properties with two strikeouts, three walks, and one hit batter.

Tate Walley and Kennedy Roberts led the way for Farm Bureau with a double apiece. The other hitters for Farm Bureau were Conner Smith,single; Sam Seals, single; Jon Taylor Cline, single.

Penn Wilson was the offensive leader for Betsy Smith Properties with a solo home run in the first inning. Trevor Freeman contributed to the win with two singles. The others hitters wereJake Brister, Lisle Henderson and Michael Haynes Hutson with a single apiece.

Paul Jackson 12, Shelter Insurance 9

Canon Travis fanned five and walked eight in pitching the win. BradJasper (2 K, 1 BB) absorbed the loss.

At the plate, the construction crew was led by Cameron Smith who singled twice and doubled. Hunter Sasser and Stephen Springfield both singled twice. Darrian Wilson and Fisher Warren doubled.

Shelter Insurance got a triple, double and single from MichaelHarvey. Two singles were collected by Matthew Allred, Corbin Allen,Thomas Reed, Reese Reynaud and Ryan McBeth. Laken Wallace doubled and Lamar Lang singled.

Dane Smith was the winning pitcher with eight strikeouts and no walks. Tremail Richardson was the Losing pitcher for Stan King with four strikeouts and seven walks.
