Matthew Alan Miller Sr., 41, died Friday, June 25, 2010.Services were held at 10:10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, at CrystalSprings United Methodist Church, with burial in Hopewell Cemeteryin Crystal Springs. Stringer Family Funeral Services in CrystalSprings was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Miller was born Oct. 31, 1968, in Jackson to Patricia Ann andKelly Braswell Miller. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Churchin Wesson. He had served as a youth director at County Line BaptistChurch in Crystal Springs. He graduated from Union Academy in1987.

He spent his childhood in Hopewell and most of his adult life inCrystal Springs until residing in Wesson for the last five years.He coached soccer in Crystal Springs and Brookhaven and coachedbaseball in Crystal Springs and Wesson. He was skilled in carpentryand mechanics and had the ability to “MacGyver” just aboutanything.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Miller; his sons, Matthew MillerJr. and Justin Barron; his daughter, Brooklyn Miller; his father,Kelly Miller; his mother, Patricia Miller and Wayne Wallace; hisbrother, Michael Miller and wife, Sarah; his niece, Sarah BethMiller; and his nephew, Barron Miller.
