Funeral services for Loyd Thompson, of Bogue Chitto, were 1 p.m.on Monday, July 19, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel,with burial in Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church Cemetery inBrookhaven.

Mr. Thompson, 80, died July 17, 2010, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born on May 16, 1930, toJohnny Thompson and Para Lee Thompson.

He was employed with Johnson Lawn Mower. He was of the Pentecostalfaith.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Flora Nell Waldrop Thompson;his parents, Johnny and Para Lee Thompson; his brothers, Nelson,Buddy, and Johnny Ray Thompson; and his sisters, Ruby Nell Wattsand Geneva Cockerham.

Survivors are his son, Lloyd G. Thompson and wife, Linda; hisdaughters, Barbara Jean Waldrop and husband, Terry, and Rhoda GailKyzar and husband, Keith; his brother, Gene Thompson; his sister,Peggy Lee; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
