Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 5,2010, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, La., forJanet Elizabeth Allen James, 61, who passed away on Monday, Nov. 1,2010, at her residence. Interment will follow at St. BernardCemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Brother Bert Langley will conductthe funeral service.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m.until 9 p.m. on Thursday and continue on Friday at 7 a.m. untiltime of service.

Janet was known for her talent of creating beautiful ceramics thatshe painted and provided to the senior citizens in the surroundingarea. Another gift that she shared with others was to fix hair andmake everyone as pretty as they could be. Janet’s joy in life washer children and grandchildren, whom she spoiled with gifts and amother’s love that could be felt from miles away.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her, especiallyCharles, her husband of 43 years, whom she adored.

Survivors include her husband, Charles James, of Lafayette; herdaughter, Christie Guidry, of Breaux Bridge; two brothers, WinfordAllen, of Brookhaven, and Jack Allen, of Wesson; her sister, JudyCase of Brookhaven; five grandchildren, Stephen and Ashlin Guidry,Carlie, Jada and Timothy Guidry; and one great-grandchild,Christian Guidry.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cassie Annette Begnaud;her parents, Rudolph and Jeanette Ivy Allen; and two brothers,Albert Lee Allen and Royce Allen.

Pallbearers are Timmy Guidry, Troy Guidry, Timothy Guidry, StephenGuidry, Will Broussard, Kip Allen, Kevin Allen and WilliamCase.

Honorary pallbearers are Karl Allen, Ryan Allen, and Jason andJonathan Case.
