Funeral services for Inez McNeil Evans, of Brookhaven, are 2p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel onNatchez Drive, with burial in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemeteryin Brookhaven.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Evans, 91, died Nov. 21, 2010, at her residence. She was bornin Jackson on Jan. 22, 1919, to Joseph Henry McNeil and CassieNetterville McNeil.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of New Prospect BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Homer Evans;her grandson, Bobby Cruz; her sisters, Louise Peters and MargieSmith; and her brothers Thomas McNeil, Herman McNeil and JoeMcNeil.

Survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Eva LeeEvans of Brookhaven, and Joseph and Bobbie Evans of Austin, Texas;her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Rock Alpe of Fayetteville,Ark.; her six grandchildren, Anthony Evans, Jeff Evans, Jody Evans,Johnny Cruz, Adrienne Evans and Stephanie Keeth; numerousgreat-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host ofnieces, nephews and other relatives.
