Funeral services for Alvie Chandler, of Brookhaven, were 11 a.m.on Friday, Nov. 26, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel on NatchezDrive, with burial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery inBrookhaven.

Mr. Chandler, 74, died Nov. 24, 2010, at Franklin Memorial Hospitalin Meadville. He was born in Lincoln County on Sept. 23, 1936, toHenry Chandler and Evelyn Boling Chandler.

He was retired from Keystone Seneca Company in Brookhaven. He was aveteran of the United States Army and served during the KoreanConflict.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Lamar andRobert Chandler; and one son, Alvie Chandler Jr.

Survivors are his wife, Judy Boleware Chandler of Brookhaven; hissons, Ernest Chandler and wife Lisa of Hazlehurst, and KelvinChandler and wife Susan of Brookhaven; his daughters, Misti Colemanand husband Cody, and Dwana Barkman and husband Dr. Gary Barkman,all of Brookhaven; his sisters, Clara Allen, Liz Foster andMarguerite Ferrell, all of Brookhaven, and Eva Nell Butcher ofOklahoma; and his grandchildren, Betty Brown and husband Justin,Reason Chandler, Gracie Coleman and Hayden Chandler.

Pallbearers are Cody Coleman, Justin Brown, Kenneth Jackson, ReasonChandler, Hayden Chandler and Michael Allen.
