Bogue Chitto sacks St. Al

VICKSBURG – The Bogue Chitto Lady Cats finished the seasonperfect in the division as they steamrolled the St. Aloysius LadyFlashes 66-33 in 7-1A basketball action Saturday afternoon.

In boys action, the Bobcats battled for an important 58-50 win overthe Flashes.

Bogue Chitto’s boys resumes action Tuesday in the districttournament and battle the host MSD Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. The No.1-seeded Lady Cats have a bye until Thursday, awaiting the winnerof the Cathedral versus St. Aloysius game.

BC 66, St. Al 33

Senior guard Aneshia Dillon pumped in a game-high 19 points to leadthe Lady Cats (25-1, 10-0). Josie Porter contributed 16 points,plus collecting 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Tesheon Rogers provided adouble-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

“Glad to get the win,” said BC coach Christi Terrell. “Now, we mustget ready for the tournament.”

Terrell stated that Dillon suffered a hard foul by Giambrone.”Dillon was going up for a layup and her legs were taken out,causing her to flip. She landed face first on the court. She had tobe rushed to the hospital. Our thoughts and prayers are with herright now.”

Sarah Howington was the leader for the Lady Flashes with 14 points.They trailed BC 39-20 at halftime.
