Funeral services for Mattie Doris “Jackie” Farrar Beall, ofWesson, are 10 a.m. on Monday, March 21, at Zion Hill BaptistChurch in Wesson with burial in the church cemetery. RiverwoodFamily Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Beall, 86, died March 15, 2011, at Silver Cross Home inBrookhaven. She was born in Copiah County on June 20, 1924, toRobert A. Farrar and Mattie McCardle Farrar.

She was a lifelong member of Zion Hill Baptist Church where shewrote, composed and performed countless songs throughout the years.She was active in the community and in her church choir. Sheenjoyed gardening, especially roses, and visiting area nursinghomes to perform. She was retired from Potter Company.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, PrentissBeall; her brothers, Ernest Farrar, Robert Farrar, Pete Farrar andBuford Farrar; and her sisters, Gladys Stegall, Mary Walker, SallyWalker, Lou Van Berry and Bobbie Nell Beall.

Survivors are her son, Ricky Beall and wife, Elaine, of Wesson; herdaughters, Sandra Tressler, M.D., and husband, Steve, ofMontoursville, Penn., and Susan Nevels and husband, Donnie, ofWesson; her grandchildren, Erin Tressler and Chad Tressler, ofMontoursville, Penn., and Amanda Everett and husband, Michael,Jennifer Fortenberry and husband, Jarrett, and Benjamin Beall, allof Wesson; her great-grandchildren, Wyatt Everett, Ally Everett andMillie Fortenberry, of Wesson; and many nieces, nephews,great-nieces and great-nephews.

Many thanks to her extended family at Silver Cross Home.
