Funeral services for Yvonne Sisco, ofWesson, are 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, at Mt. Zion Baptist Churchin Wesson with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service is in charge of arrangements.

    Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home andMonday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

    Mrs. Sisco, 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,on Aug. 11, 2011, at her daughter and son-in-law’s residence. Shewas born in Brookhaven on July 30, 1935, to Clarence Newell andMaude Britt Newell.

    She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Shewas a faithful wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. Sheand her husband, the Rev. Walter Sisco, faithfully served churchesin the community since 1976.

    Preceding her in death were her parents; her sister, Loretta Allenand husband, Emmitt Allen; her sister-in-law, Bennie Newell; andher brother-in-law, Howard Smith.

    Survivors are her husband of 54 years, the Rev. Walter Sisco; herson, Danny Sisco and wife, Rhonda; her daughter, Tammy Porter andhusband, Dwayne; her brothers, John Newell and wife, Jeanette, andMeredith Newell and wife, Marie; her sister, Maudell Smith; hergrandchildren, Daniel Sisco and his fiancée, Erin Scott, DustinSisco, Blake Porter and wife, Millie, Brooks Porter and AshlynPorter; and her great-grandchild, Meridith Porter.
