Funeral services for Cathy L. Thames, of Monticello, are 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.

     Visitation is Wednesday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

     Mrs. Thames, 58, died Oct. 1, 2012, at Lawrence County Nursing Center. She was born in Mississippi on Feb. 9, 1954.

     She was of the Pentecostal faith.

     Preceding her in death were her father, Willis Earl Thames; grandparents, Colon and Wadie Thames, of Jayess; and two special aunts, Bonnell Reid, of Jayess, and Annie Merle Price, of Foxworth.

     Survivors are her mother, Alice Faye Barnett Beeson, of Mobile, Ala.; brother, Paul Beeson, of Mobile; sister, Pauline Heath, of Mobile; aunts, Betty Jo Russell, of Ruth, and Colene Horn, of Macon, Mo.; and a number of other family members.
