Funeral services for W.C. McKnight, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, at St. James M.B. Church, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Larry Jointer will officiate. Marshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

     Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home and Friday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.

     Mr. McKnight, 65, died Dec. 27, 2012, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson. He was born in Quentin on Aug. 2, 1947, to R.T. and Hattie Mae Winston McKnight.

     He was a retired Air Force veteran.

     Preceding him in death were his parents; parents who helped rear him, Lamar and Perry Green; and two sisters, Fannie L. Woods and Schelia Robinson Jackson.

     Survivors are his wife, Liliana Gina McKnight; daughters, Gina Renee McKnight and Michelle Wilmore; sons, William Charles McKnight and Michael Charles McKnight; seven grandchildren, Jaunxa’que Pelar McKnight, Tabitha Joyce McKnight, William Charles McKnight III, Robert, Ezekiel, Sh’Diamond and Sh’Kennan; sisters, Annie Mae Jones, Linda McKnight Brinson, Mildred L. McGhee, Shirley Ann Winston, Debra G. Birden, Linda G. Green, Sharon Green, Deachea Cameron and Vickie Newman Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Larissa, Baje and Zacharya; nephews, Nathan Lee, James Woods and Marrie “Blondie” Lee; and a host of other relatives and friends.
