Funeral services for Kenneth Aubrey Register of Wesson were 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Zion Hill Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Register, 58, died at his home Jan. 16, 2013. He was born March 11, 1954, to James Wesley Register and Hazel Martin Register.
He was a self-employed entrepreneur and owner/founder of Ken’s Sharpening Inc. He was an avid sports fan and was a coach and mentor to many fine young men in his community. He was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his stepfather, Grover Lee Johnson; and his two brothers, Wayne Register and J.W. Register.
Survivors include one son, Keith Aubrey Register of Gulfport; one daughter, April Register of Brookhaven; two grandchildren, Noah Rogers and Kaysha Register; two brothers, Joe Johnson Jr. and Tony Johnson, both of South Carolina; two sisters, Judy Shipman of Kentucky and Diana Abercrombie of South Carolina; and numerous loved nieces and nephews.
