Funeral services for Jerry Katherine Clanton of Meadville are 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at First Baptist Church of Bude, with burial in Midway Cemetery. Pastor Brad Moak will officiate. Marshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 until 10 a.m., both at the church.

Ms. Clanton, 19, died Feb. 10, 2013 at Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital in Hazlehurst. She was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas on May 21, 1993.

She was a member of Franklin County 4-H, Franklin County Future Farmers of America (FFA), Youth Soccer Association, and First Baptist Church of Bude. She also was a Holmes Community College soccer alumnus.

Preceding her in death were her paternal grandparents, Martha and Lamar Clanton and maternal grandfather, Jerry Vance.

Survivors are her parents, David and Janie Vance Clanton; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Maurine Courte; siblings, Sarah Clanton, Lamar Clanton, Marie Clanton and Ryan Clanton; aunts and uncles, Joe Vance, Jason and Michelle Vance, Bart and Angela Houston, Kim and Danny Smith and Norma Leonard; best friend, Kristen Hughes; and numerous cousins and many friends and church family.
