DAILY LEADER / NATHANIEL WEATHERSBY / The NAACP organized a Community Ward Town Hall meeting last night with City Board members, Randy Belcher of Ward 1, Terry Bates of Ward 2, Mary Wilson of Ward 3 and Lincoln County District 1 Supervisor Jerry Wilson. Members of the communities brought forth issues concerning unpaved and half paved roads, water and sewage tax issues, abandoned lot and house issues. Residents also demonstrated a large concern about the closed bridge on Warren Avenue that provides a problem during emergencies when one needs to cross the railroad tracks to get to law enforcement and healthcare help – which is all located in the other three wards across the railroad tracks - when there is a train.
