The Loyd Star at West Lincoln football game scheduled for Friday night has been moved to today at 7 p.m. due to the possibility of severe weather.

The West Lincoln Bears will host the Loyd Star Hornets 24 hours early to avoid a line of potentially severe thunderstorms expected to arrive late Friday afternoon.

Lincoln County Emergency Management Director Clifford Galey said the Brookhaven area is on the edge of a National Weather Service severe weather warning area for Friday night that could include lightning from around 4 p.m. until after midnight.
