Amite County won a thriller against Bogue Chitto Monday night, taking another region win at the wire 67-66.

The Trojans dominated the first half, but the Bobcats got the home crowd on its feet with a second-half comeback that began late in the third quarter. Bogue Chitto was back in the mix in the fourth quarter, but came up one agonizing point short in the end.

“Basketball is a game of runs and we had many runs tonight,” Amite County coach Cavadas Nunnery said. “You got to let other kids play in pressure situations, cause if they don’t they’ll never learn how to play ball. We got more depth than anyone in this district, and that’s our advantage.”
