BROOKHAVEN — A new coffee shop, barbecue restaurant and pizza parlors received permits and health inspections last week. Mississippi Department of Health publishes the inspections and issued permits online. 

Brookhaven’s Starbucks received its permit from the Mississippi Department of Health last Thursday. The coffee shop will open store number 78427 at 879 Brookway Boulevard. Construction is just getting started at the location.  The coffee shop’s status is new construction according to the department of health records. 

Magnolia Blues BBQ and Bar earned respective A’s in inspections conducted Friday. Located at 218 South Whitworth Avenue, Magnolia Blues earned its fourth straight A since 2021 for the restaurant and third straight A since 2021 for the bar. 

Serio’s Pizza, located at 216 South Whitworth Avenue, earned its sixth A since 2020. Serio’s will soon have a new neighbor when Mississippi Ice opens in the same building.

Fox’s Pizza Den earned its 15th A rating since 2016. The pizza parlor is located at 106 West Monticello Street.
