Brookhaven Police called to a room at Rodeway Inn Monday to investigate possible credit card fraud found drug paraphernalia that led to the arrest of seven people on charges of possession of controlled substance and firearms violations as well as two outstanding warrants.

When the officers found the drug paraphernalia they called agents with the Southwest Mississippi Narcotics Enforcement Unit, which began a narcotics investigation which led to the arrests.

Officers with the Lincoln County Mississippi Department of Corrections assisted with the investigations.
