Deputies are asking for the public’s help to identify a woman they say robbed a truck stop cashier at gunpoint Friday.

Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Rushing said a woman walked into the Bogue Chitto Truck Stop about 12:30 a.m. and displayed a handgun, demanding cash from the register.

The woman was white, average build and about 5-foot-8. She wore sweat pants, a black hoodie, black gloves, black hat and had a black scarf wrapped around her face.

Rushing said she likely was parked behind the truck stop or nearby.

It’s not known if she acted alone or had an accomplice.
