The resolution — titled “Commemorating the life of Robert O. Allen and his service to Lincoln County, Mississippi” — was presented to his wife Patricia Allen, son and current board attorney Will Allen and daughter Julie A. Foncea.

Supervisor Nolan Williamson made the motion to accept the resolution and Supervisor Rev. Jerry Wilson made the second motion for the resolution. The vote made by the board was unanimous.

“We appreciate you being here this morning,” board president Eddie Brown said to Allen’s family. “We all have great memories of Bob and funny stories. It’s been a lot of good years working with him.”

Patricia Allen accepted the resolution from the board and spoke about her husband’s love for the area.

“I appreciate this,” she said. “Bob loved Brookhaven and Lincoln County, and he loved practicing law. So this was a perfect fit for him.”
