Services for Ruth Mae Jackson of Bogue Chitto are 2 p.m.,Friday, Sept. 7, at Easthaven Baptist Church with burial in StewartCemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-10 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome.

Mrs. Jackson, 82, died Sept. 5, 2001, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born on April 22, 1919, to RobertRichardson and Alice Martin Richardson.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bogue Chitto Church ofChrist.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Jim Buittand Everett Jackson; her son, David Buitt; her stepchildren, RobertJackson and Rachel Rippy; her brothers, Harvey Richardson and R. D.Richardson; and her sister, Pearl Richardson.

Survivors are her stepmother, Emma Lofton of Bogue Chitto; hersons, Leon Buitt, Pearlie Buitt, Sylvester Buitt, Marvin Buitt, andRobert Buitt, all of Bogue Chitto, and Charles Buitt of CrystalSprings; her daughters, Geraldine McFall of Ridgecrest, La., MaryAnn Caves of Monticello, Nita Lusk of Wesson, Emma Jean Smith ofHazlehurst, and Martha “Mott” Sanford Sharp of Bogue Chitto; herstepchildren, Earl K. Jackson of Hugh Springs, Texas, EdwardJackson of Longview, Texas, Edgar Jackson of McCall Creek, CliftonJackson of Meadville, Betty Carroll of Paragould, Ark., Mary JaneFurr of Brookhaven, Dorothy Moore of Bogue Chitto, and HenryJackson of Houston, Texas; her sisters, Bonnie Adams of BogueChitto, Sarah Monastere of Hammond, La., and Mildred Dixon ofFoxworth; her stepbrother, Robert Rippy of McComb; her surrogatedaughter and special caregiver, Elaine Boyles; and 31grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, twogreat-great-grandchildren, 22 stepgrandchildren and a number ofstepgreat-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Marvin “Bubba” Buitt, Robert “Buster” Buitt,Quang Bui, Dempsey Hodges, Jeffrey Rippy, Matt Harris, and honorarypallbearer, Corey Buitt.
