Services for Georgia Braxton Butler of Bogue Chitto are 1 p.m.,Monday, Feb. 4, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Monday from 9-11 a.m. at Tyler Funeral Home andfrom noon until service time at the church.

Mrs. Butler, 98, died Jan. 28, 2002, at Doctors Hospital inLanham, Md. She was born in Lincoln County on Aug. 20, 1903, toGeorge Robinson and Virginia Robinson.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Churchat Bogue Chitto.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, NolanButler; her son, Tommie James Braxton; her stepsons, A. B. Butler,Billy Butler, and Willie B. Butler; her brothers, Eli, Essaw, Ellisand Johnny Robinson; and her sister, Jessie Robinson.

Survivors are her son, John Braxton of California; herdaughters, Etheline Milton and Charliestine Washington, both ofBogue Chitto, Jessie V. Barney and Kathleen Butler, both ofChicago, Elizabeth Wynne of Upper Marlbolo, Md., and NeomiaWilliams of Kansas City, Mo.; and a host of grandchildren,great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces andnephews.
