Services for James Michael “Mike” Pickett, of Ruth, are noonMonday, Feb. 16, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in McCallCreek with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family FuneralService is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Pickett, 49, died Feb. 13, 2009, in Bogue Chitto. He wasborn on Oct. 11, 1959, to James Tom Pickett and Lenall MoakPickett.

He was a business owner. He has been a successful businessmanfor many years and has also organized many fundraisers for those inneed. He was an advocate leader for Toys for Tots and the St. JudeChildren’s Research Hospital. He was a member of Adams MethodistChurch.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Jewel Pickett andWanita Moak; his mother and father-in-law, Bob and Eudena Clark;his infant sister, Nancy Pickett; and his son, William HowellPickett.

Survivors are his parents; his wife, Anita Carol Clark Pickett;his sons, Nathan Pickett and wife, Dawn, Jeremy Pickett and wife,Trudy, and William Pickett; his sisters, Wanda Pickett andStephanie Carithers; his grandparents, Robert Moak and May Pickett;and his grandchildren, Justin, Carlea, Kaylin, Brittany, Johnathanand Autumn Pickett.
