Luther Roy Adams

Services for Luther Roy Adams, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Thursday, June 14, at First Baptist Church in Brookhaven. A privateburial will be held. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Adams, 88, died June 12, 2007, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born on Feb. 12, 1919, to Oscar Easterling Adams andFaye Hardy Hoskins Adams.

Retired from the military, he served in the United States Navyin the Atlantic, Pacific and South China theaters from June 1941until November 1945. He served with the U.S. Army in Korea fromDecember 1951 until October 1953. He was a veteran of Foreign Wars,National Guard Association and a member of the Masonic Lodge No.241. He was a member of the Army National Guard from 1954 until1979, when he retired. He attended Whitworth College. He had been adevoted member of First Baptist Church since 1949. His interestslater in life included being an avid gardener, and a devotedsupporter of the Military Memorial Museum in Brookhaven. He was adelightful friend to many people.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his six brothers andtwo sisters.

Survivors are his wife, Carrie Ola Britt Adams, of Brookhaven;his daughter, Laila Adams Eckels, of Memphis, Tenn.; hisgranddaughter, Amanda Adams Eckels Goetze, of Memphis; and hisgreat-grandson, Albert Harrison Goetze, of Memphis.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to themusic program at First Baptist Church, or to the Military MemorialMuseum of Brookhaven, P.O. Box 25, Brookhaven, MS 39602.

Buel Conley Burnett Jr.

Services for Buel Conley Burnett Jr., of Pascagoula, are 10 a.m.Thursday, June 14, at Sartinville Methodist Church in WalthallCounty with burial in the church cemetery. Capps Funeral Home inTylertown is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from 4 until 9 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Burnett, 84, died June 11, 2007, at his residence. He wasborn on Nov. 1, 1922, to Buel Conley Burnett Sr. and Berniece CraftBurnett.

He was retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding. He was a United StatesArmy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Masonic LodgeVarnell No. 0282 at Salem. He was a member of Sartinville MethodistChurch.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his sister, AthaleaDaigle.

Survivors are his wife, Janice Burnett, of Pascagoula; his sons,Ronald Alan Burnett, of Monticello, and Michael Wayne Burnett andJimmy Darin Burnett, both of Pascagoula; his daughter, GlendaBurnett Ely, of Moss Point; his brother, Devern Savoy Burnett, ofRound Rock, Texas; and his 13 grandchildren and 21great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Sartinville Methodist Church.

Gladys Arnold Burris

Services for Gladys Arnold Burris, of McCall Creek, are 10 a.m.Thursday, June 14, at Ebenezer Methodist Church in McCall Creekwith burial in the church cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home Meadvilleis in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Burris, 91, died June 11, 2007, at her residence. She wasborn in Franklin County on Feb. 12, 1916, to Robert L. Arnold andJena Freeman Arnold.

She was retired from Stahl-Urban and a homemaker. She was amember of Ebenezer Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, LeonBurris; her daughter, Bobbie Nell Holland; her brother and twosisters.

Survivors are her son, Robert Leon Burris and wife Janet, ofMcCall Creek; her daughter, Carolyn White and husband Dennis, ofMcCall Creek; her son-in-law, Delton Holland, of McCall Creek; herseven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Kasey Diane Wilkinson Herring

Services for Kasey Diane Wilkinson Herring, of Brookhaven, are 3p.m. Thursday, June 14, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapelwith burial in Johnson Grove Church of Christ Cemetery inBrookhaven.

Mrs. Herring, 22, died June 10, 2007, in Carthage. She was bornon July 27, 1984, to Timothy D. Wilkinson and Kelli ClineLoflin.

She was a wife, mother, daughter and friend. She was a member ofBrookway Church of Christ in Brookhaven.

Preceding her in death were her paternal grandmother, DorothyMae Wilkinson, of Carthage; her maternal grandfather, Walter D.Cline, of Dallas, Texas; and her grandmother, Mildred B. Loflin, ofJackson.

Survivors are her husband, Gregory Herring, of Brookhaven; herson, Ricky Paul Herring, age 4, of Brookhaven; her daughters, KatieElizabeth Herring, age 6, and Taylor Malayne Herring, age 2, bothof Brookhaven; her parents, Timothy D. James F. Huff

Services for James F. Huff, of Meadville, were 11 a.m.Wednesday, June 13, at Bunkley Baptist Church in Bunkley withburial in the church cemetery. Community Funeral Services is incharge of arrangements.

Mr. Huff, 70, died June 11, 2007, at Franklin County MemorialHospital. He was born on July 9, 1936, to Ernest Huff and SusieArnold Huff.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Zola Huff, of Meadville; his sons, ErnieHuff, of Lafayette, La., and Eddie Huff, of Meadville; hisdaughter, Dody Tutor, of Crystal Springs; and his sisters, AnnieSmith, of Natchez, and Caroline Halford, of Meadville; and hisseven grandchildren.

W.C. Ingle Sr.

Services for W.C. Ingle Sr., of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Thursday,June 14, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on North Jackson Street withburial in the Ingle Family Cemetery in Lincoln County.

Visitation is Wednesday from 2 until 10 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Ingle, 80, died June 12, 2007, at G. V. (Sonny) MontgomeryVA Medical Center in Jackson. He was born in Maringouin, La., onMay 14, 1927, to Ernest Ingle and Ella Pittman Ingle Leckie.

He was retired from oil field work. He was a United StatesMarine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of the FirstAssembly of God.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, DavidIngle, Willie Ingle and Charlie Ingle; his sister, Ruby EstellDavid; and his grandson, W.C. “Chuck” Ingle III.

Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Audrey Nell Ingle, ofBrookhaven; his sons, W.C. Ingle Jr. and wife Michelle, ofCleveland, Texas, Michael Wayne Ingle and wife Shelley, and JeffreyDale Ingle and wife Lisa, all of Brookhaven; his daughter, FrancesJohnson and husband Joe, of Sontag; his sisters, Vulan Smith, ofByhalia, and Eloise Ingle, of Pineville, La.; his brother, LoydIngle, of Baton Rouge, La.; his grandchildren, Brittany LeAnnIngle, Michael Brooks Ingle and Logan Nicole Ingle; hisgreat-grandchild, Huston Lance Aguilar; and a host of nieces andnephews.
