Services for Margarette B. Mark, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Jan. 10, at Kynette Pilgrim United Methodist Church inBrookhaven with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 6 p.m. at R.E. TylerFuneral Home with family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mrs. Mark, 79, died Dec. 31, 2008, at her residence. She wasborn in Brookhaven on Nov. 20, 1929, to Cammie Butler and Josie MayGreen.

She was an Alexander High School graduate, an Alcorn A&MUniversity graduate, and a graduate of Xavier University in NewOrleans, La. Mrs. Mark was a retired assistant principal in theOrleans Parish School System in New Orleans.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Dr. JesseJ. Mark Jr., Ph.D.; and her sisters, Rosie M. Smith Houston andJosie Mae Lewis.

Survivors are a brother, James Smith, of Glynwood, Ill.; and hersisters, Marie Patton and Elise Craft, both of Brookhaven.
