The Cougars and Lady Cougars are back in action Tuesday with Adams County Christian School traveling to BA for 6 games. Seventh grade action set to begin at 3 p.m.

BA 52, Prentiss Christian 30

The Lady Cougars (13-10, 4-1) took a comfortable 35-12 halftime lead to the locker room and held off any Lady Saints’ runs in the second half to secure the win.

“We didn’t play a real clean game tonight but it was enough to spread out a lot of minutes and work on some things that needed attention,” BA head coach Mack Gardner commented. “We have a big district game Tuesday night and we’re counting on our students to come out in force, get loud and give us that extra home court edge.”

Junior sharp-shooter Hillary Wilson led the Lady Cougars with 15 points hitting five three pointers on the evening. Lindsey Winborne added 12 and Marlee Watts chipped in 7 points for BA. Bayleigh Foster led the Lady Saints in scoring with 23 points.

BA 79, Prentiss Christian 39

The Cougars (17-4, 5-0) high-octane offense was too much for the Saints to handle as BA storm out of the gate to secure a 24-5 first quarter lead and cruised to an 45-23 halftime lead.

Senior guard Zac Smith pumped in a game-high 20 point and grabbed 9 rebounds to lead the Cougars. Caleb Brown and Peyton Hood contributed 13 points apiece. Travis Thornton was the leader on the boards with 12 rebounds. Joshua Wiggins and Hood helped on the boards with 8 rebounds each.
